Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Technician (electrical bias) to work on one of our maintenance contracts in Stowmarket.  It is a fast moving production environment.

Key Responsibilities

You must be electrically qualified, with good mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

The 12 hour shift rota generates an average working week of only 33 hours, with a competitive remuneration package.

A methodical fault finding mentality is essential and PLC experience would be an advantage.

This is a reactive role, ensuring, to the best of your abilities, that the manufacturing equipment operates as required by the Site Production team.

Types of plant and equipment on-site include:

  • Sequenced Filling lines
  • Conveyors
  • Labellers
  • Printers
  • Palletisers
  • Stretch wrappers
  • High speed mixers

Following training in Musk Process Services’ Fast-track RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process, your role will be a significant factor in helping to improve the reliability of the sites assets.

You will be responsible for the reactive maintenance on night shifts, therefore you should be able to work with a high level of autonomy.  You will be supported by a maintenance team during the day.

Skills and Experience

You should have a strong electrical engineering background with experience of maintaining:

  • Pump bearings / seals / couplings / alignments
  • Motor/gearbox drives
  • Chain/belt drives
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • PLC’s
  • Level and weight measurement

You must possess an electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or Btec) together with C&G 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.  Mechanical qualifications would be an advantage.

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required.
